Note
- Key Words であげられる4つの英単語は、これまで聞き取れなかったことはないのだが、今回は最後の「open」が何度聞いても聞き取れない。本当に含まれているのか?
- 前半の女性は(タケルの姉の)スズだが、後半の女性はハルカなのか。名前も言わないし、ずっとスズが話しているのかと思った。だから最初は面と向かって話していたはずのスズとタケルが、なんで途中から電話で話すのかわからなかった。
- タケルとハルカは同じマンションに住んでいるのだそうだ。そんな設定あったっけ? と思ったが(確認していないが、これまでそんな話は出ていなかったはず)、登場人物の説明では、確かにそのような設定になっている。これを知らないと、今回のシチュエーションは理解できないわけで、ちょっとどうかと思う。

- wordreference.com で調べてみたら、次のような説明が見つかった。
In general, "good at" is used with areas of expertise:
- Stephen Hawking is good at physics.
- Roger Federer is good at tennis.
- Elementary-school teachers have to be good at child psychology.
"Good with" is used with specific objects or people:
- Stephen Hawking is good with equations.
- Roger Federer is good with a tennis racquet.
- Elementary-school teachers have to be good with children.
The word "computers" can be treated as either an area of expertise or a set of individual objects. Therefore, it's permissible to say either "good at computers" or "good with computers".
Another note: Gerunds fall into the "good at" category since they're generalized actions:
- Stephen Hawking is good at understanding complex equations.
- Roger Federer is good at handling a tennis racquet.
- Elementary-school teachers have to be good at dealing with children.

- Your windows were open. だった。いったんそうわかってしまえば、were open 以外の何者でもないのだが。最初、どのように聞こえたんだっけ?
- タケルは、窓からハルカの声が聞こえただけで電話をしてしまうような、そしてハルカもそれを受け入れている、そんな関係なのか。
