- 将棋クラブで、ルールを覚えたら対局をした方がいいという話をしているのに、まずはラーメンをと言い出すのには笑ってしまった。
Typical Expressions
- convincedは確かに「確信している」という意味だが、これをsure, certainと並べて説明しているのは初めて。なるほどcertain1よりさらに確信の度合いが強いわけか。
- sure, certainは意外と間違えやすい。以下はすべて同じ意味で、確信しているのはheではなく話者（例文はすべてWISDOMより）
- It is certain that he will win the game.
- He is certain to win the game.
- He is sure to win the game.
- I am certain that he will win the game.
- I am sure that he will win the game.
- It is sure... とは言わない。sureの主観的な意味がIt is ... という客観的な文に合わないためか。
- 以下はすべて、確信しているのはhe
