Note
out of Kuala Lumpurで「クアラルンプールを拠点に」がピンとこない。「クアラルンプール以外の」といったニュアンスを強く感じてしまう。辞書にも載っていないのだが、ネットを検索してみると
- I want to operate a business out of my home.
など類似の表現が見つかった。さらに、
- Is there a difference between "They operate in London" and "they operate out of London"?
という質問も見つかって、それに対して
- When I read "they operate out of London" it suggests to me that they operate in many cities/countries, but they are based in London. When I read "they operate in London" it could mean that they only do business in London, not in any other cities/countries. It is a subtle diffference.
